Updates that find you, a faster search, and help where you need it.

  • Updates find you. Purgy checks for new versions in the background and opens this window by itself, even when it is only in the menu bar. The menu bar panel shows it too.
  • Search answers in under a second. The first search reads your disk once. Every search after it, for ten minutes, answers at once, with folder sizes already filled in.
  • Your place is kept. Leave the Space Map and come back: your search, filter, results and folder sizes are where you left them.
  • Help where you need it. Every screen opens with one clear line. An info button beside each feature holds the details.

Find anything on your Mac by name, and remove it safely.

  • Search in the Space Map. Find any file, folder, app or hidden item by name, or list every video, archive or app by size. Tick what you do not need and it goes to the Trash, where you can put it back.
  • Easier to read in every colour. Buttons and the selected sidebar item now use dark text on the Yellow, Orange and Green accent colours, so every label stays readable.
  • Stronger security checks. Updated the certificate checks Purgy uses when it downloads updates and talks to the licence server.

Updates now install themselves.

  • Install and Relaunch. When an update is ready, Purgy downloads it, checks it is genuine, replaces itself and opens again. No disk image, no dragging to Applications.
  • Clear messages when a setting cannot be saved. If your Mac refuses to save a setting, Purgy now tells you instead of quietly carrying on.
  • Security updates. Updated the libraries Purgy uses for secure connections.

See purgeable space, and find more of your AI models.

  • Purgeable space, explained. Overview shows how much of your free space macOS can clear by itself, so you know when nothing needs cleaning.
  • LM Studio models found again. Purgy now looks where LM Studio keeps its models today, and model files are always yours to review, never selected for you.
  • Clear messages when a licence cannot be saved. If your licence cannot be written to disk, Purgy says so instead of reporting success.
